#boot di Win 7 PE
label Boot from Win 7 PE
menu label Boot from ^Win 7 PE
MENU INDENT 1
COM32 /chain.c32
APPEND boot ntldr=/bootmgr fs

Now edit the red colored line to this: APPEND boot 1 ntldr=/bootmgr
and reply if it works.

Maybe i didn't typed it clearly. The line mustn't be appended additionally. It must be replaced. Delete the red line and insert the later mentioned one.

Yes I replaced it entirely, but I misquoted the error, actually its "can not READ boot sector"

I formatted my flash drive, rebuilt a win7pe from scratch from the link from inside the SARDU builder, and made it fresh but still have the same problem :/

Are there any other external media like usb sticks oder harddisks connected? Is your SARDU stick cut into multipe partitions or one single partition?

Single partition on a PC that is strictly for data recovery but runs windows xp. I can see all the files on the memory stick so its copying everything over properly it looks like.

Maybe your syslinux modules and syslinux itself are not of the same batch.

What is the modification date of chain.c32 in SARDU disks root? It should be 2010-02-20 when SARDU 2.0.3 is installed (syslinux 3.86).

If you didn't change anything in syslinux version then something went wrong at changing back from 2.0.4beta to 2.0.3.

I think, it's easier for u to format it again.
