Hello schuc69
I was running into the same issue that you have been describing exactly.
After reading through all of the posts here. This is what worked for me.
Step 1
Davidecosta stated that you needed to use RMPrepUSB, but he was unable to tell you why.
Follow the picture here:
howto-and-faq/how-to-format-usb-fat-32-t63.htmlWhat it will do is mark the 7mb of the drive unbootable/unusable , and format the rest of the disk as FAT32.
It is actually a problem within 7mb of the drive that is causing the issue. Which explains why the 16GB flash drive worked, and the 128GB drive doesn't.
Step 2
Create the bootable USB Drive with your Windows Installers.
Step 3
Follow the steps stated by aqkhan
Extract the original ISO using winrar. Then manually copy the sources folder contants from the original ISO to source8 (windows 8 sources folder) on the USB Drive.
Which also means that there is a problem with the sardu application or with the version &zip it uses. Wheither it is during the extraction or the copying of the extracted files I am unsure.
Step 4
boot off the usb drive.
It should be working. This is what I had to do to get it to work.
@ Daivdecosta Great work on the sardu project. If I offended you by the previous statement, I am sorry. If you find out what the bug is or if you think I'm wrong please message me.
@aqkhan Great troubleshooting. You nailed it on the head for me atleast.
