Unfortunately, not all PCs are compatible, that's why I ask you to try with quemu, is a proof that we can do in two

Thanks David.

Let me first have the chance to do a second build of my "Win7PE SE" equipped USB stick this evening.
Yesterday I took R4 and created an USB stick just with "Win7PE SE" and "Hirens", that one worked in the emulator as well as on a real computer.
It certainly can have an impact on functioning or malfunctioning if one adds other ISOs.

I've just checked RC4 with "eScan":

1. in VMware with "Plop" from a real USB stick: failure
2. in VMware from a built ISO: success
3. on my notebook with an USB stick: failure
4. in Qemu from a built ISO: success

It all boils - in my case - to the same, running "eScan" from an USB stick ends unsuccessfully.

Finished my rebuilt of an USB stick with RC4 including "Win7PE SE" and Hirens and UBCD.
The result is, that "Win7PE SE" ends in a crash right from the spot:
"
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.
"
From what I have noticed, Win7PE SE doesn't like to be on the same USB stick with Hirens and/or UBCD. That needs further testing on my side.

If I leave out "Win7PE SE", the combination of Hirens and UBCD works on the same USB stick. That USB stick contains most of the entries from the sections "Antivirus" and "Utility" as well.

Do you try to defrag your pendrive? If the USB is the usb is uncontiguous can return problems (escan)
Your error is with UBCD or UBCD4Win?
Now i'm making one test with your error

No, my USB stick isn't fragmented.

I'm using UBCD, not UBCD4Win.

The error I've reported seems only to appear when "Win7PE SE" is in combination with UBCD *and* Hirens.

I will do deeper testing in a few hours.

Thanks, David.
