How to you launch the batch?

Put the batch file in the root of the flash drive name it like install.bat, next when your installing windows vista or 7 after you press install now and it generates that dvd error message, press SHIFT + F10. This will bring up a command window. From there, change the directory to the flash drives by guessing which drive letter it is, its usually E: on most computers but type E: in the command window and once you get E:\ type DIR to see if its the flash drives directory, if so, Type install.bat and the batch file should come up and just hit the respective operating system you would like to install. Then you can close the command windows and press the X at the top right of the vista/7 install so it goes back to the start of the installation. From there just hit install windows now and it will go though just fine.

This little batch file trick doesn't seem to work for me; weird! Even after I execute the script the folder names do not change, so I keep getting the same 'CD/DVD driver not found' error.

davidecosta, I too have the same problem as other posters. I can install Windows 7 AiO just fine but not Vista! [Using a 20GB HDD formatted to FAT32 FS.]

Yes: Seven works fine. Vista look the dvd, I think that the problem is who Vista don't finds install.wim

Next beta version will choose either Vista or Seven
Isn't possible, for my knowledge, would combine the two installer. The install.wim is hardcoded...
If anyone know a method...

If it's not possible to put Vista AiO & Win 7 AiO on the same drive, then how did you get Vista Recovery x86, x64 & Win 7 Recovery x86, x64 [4 disks in all] to work properly? I would have thought Vista or Win 7 installation would work the same way; mind you I don't know much about how the installation process works!

All PE >2 pr windows boot from the same name of file: boot.wim. For Install boot.wim load install.wim. I can change the name or path of boot.wim and change the menu of boot (BCD)...but...i can't change the name or path of install.wim

It can be done somehow I know it but how:

You say it is hardcoded do you know this for sure 100% would it not be possible to change this on the iso itself is there not no .ini file for the setup that is running? We could technically modify the ISO file and rename the wims to windows7.wim and windowsvista.wim respectively and have the setup mount the correct wim.

There has to be a way ...

Restore vista and 7 wims at every boot to there original name install boot.wim and load install.wim. Then when a user selects windows 7 wim rename the vista wims to something else like vistainstall.wim vistaload.wim then continue to boot. This is of course providing that there is not only read only access in place.

We just need to think a little I'd bet this issue is solvable by some means on your end.

I tried this method....and theoretically works fine...but how long will it take? The only method is boot from a dos floppy with a batch that rename the wim file and start the syslinux/grub that start the Install of Vista/Seven.
I have no time for make this test. If anyone make the batch i can add this to SARDU.
