Windows 7 installation wimfsf.sys error[SOLVED]

Postby aapje » October 4th, 2011, 10:40 pm

I just made a new USB stick with only a freshly downloaded and tested Windows 7 SP1 (from EOPEN) x64 ENG installation. And no matter what PC I put it in it will say: Starting windows and then throw a BSOD with the error:

wimFsf.sys
PAGE_FAULT-IN_NONPAGED_AREA

.. Google is full of it, but nothing in relation to SARDU. While I'm doing the most basic thing with this software I would atleast expect others to have the same problem. I've tried using the latest stable and the 2.0.4 beta 9. Both result in the same failure.

You are right, it was in fact the iso. Which is kind of weird considering I downloaded it fresh from Microsoft. It worked fine at first with the original windows usb tool. But after moving the file around on my NAS it got corrupted somehow.

But after redownloading it, it works like a charm :) Thanks!

I did find two other 'small' problems. The kaspersky live disk won't boot. It returns a black screen and hangs from there on. I did find some previous threads but it was claimed to be fixed in a newer version of sardu.

And the other small thing I noticed that when your in the Windows XP installation menu and you choose 'Back to SARDU's Menu' it will wait for 10 seconds or so and return to the windows menu.
