Unable to boot from USB stick

Postby SupraGo » February 11th, 2011, 3:35 am

Using V2.0.2 installed on a 4 GB Kingston USB stick. Computer will boot from USB(Microsoft USB W7 install) but won't boot from the SARDU install. Sits with a blinking cursor at top left of screen.
Re-run & create ISO image & burn to a DVD and system boots & works without issue.
What am I doing wrong?

The install have corrupted syslinx.

Solution:
USB --> Update USB or Update only SARDU's menu.

Let me know.

Tried that. Same result. Thanks anyway.
Had tried to make a bootable USB with several different utilities and had exactly same results. Identical. The only common thing in all this, except not working, was the USB stick that I used. I had tried several different ones, but all from the same manufacturer(Kingston). Picked up another one this afternoon(SAN Disk Cruzer) and it WORKED!!! Wished I had picked up a bigger one.
Thank you for creating this awesome piece of software.

please give us more input.

your stck is format with fat32?
you use a unmodded SARDU?
Wich version of SARDU you use?
What do you want to boot with SARDU?
Important information: Don't change the SARDU screen or menu's when you want a fine working SARDU. 8-)
