SARDU - Syslinux install path

Postby Damnation » September 19th, 2012, 8:26 am

Hi All, new here

A couple of things I'd like to know

Is it possible to change the default install path for syslinux that SARDU uses?
I'd like to put my syslinux in a g:\syslinux folder, rather than at the root of the drive.

I would use the syslinux command prompt tool to set the install path, but it keeps giving me: "invalid media descriptor (not an FAT or NTFS drive?) even though I have an NTFS drive. SARDU seems to be able to get around it and installs syslinux properly anyway

If I replace SyslinuxNTFS.exe in the archive with a renamed 5.00pre7 version that would make SARDU install that version?

If you change the path or the menu of SARDU removing or changing any entries SARDU will not works fine
I can't support user's experiments. SARDU have any millions of user...if I support the experiments too ...i go crazy :)

all i'm asking is just an option to have Syslinux Install into a folder rather than the root of the drive, but still have it set to root as default so the less tech savvy users wont notice
