Hi!

I think the stop error 0xc0000225and and some other problems are due to the latest Syslinux version used (4.04). Change to v3x in Sardu menu ‘USB’ to 3x and re-build which seemed to work for me. Not sure... some sort of conflict with the BCD store somehow!? Also if using alternative utility to write the bootloader i.e ‘RMPrepUSB’ as I have seen elsewhere on the forum... then the bootloader version has to match the installed syslinx files from the same distribution package.... In particular ‘vesamenu.c32’ for example!... otherwise there will be menu missing etc.. errors!!!

Thanks…DaveKay.

Unfortunately none of these suggestions seem to work. I have already checked all the ISO files, their MD5 hash matches, which means co corruption.

HardDrive2
1-syslinux 3.xx:
1a-extract ISO = error: Windows cannot find...gsar.exe
1b-then SARDU hangs trying to extract Vista/7 Rescue CD ISO

2-syslinux 4.xx
2a-extract ISO = OK
2b-make SARDU DISK = OK
2c-boot BCD from PE >2 Menu = BCD Error 0xc0000225

HardDrive1: already made with SARDU 2.0.3 Beta 4
1-syslinux 4.xx
1a-extract ISO = OK
1b-make SARDU DISK = OK
1c-boot BCD from PE >2 Menu = BCD Error 0xc0000225

1-syslinux 3.xx: rebuild SARDU menu / 2.0.3 Beta 5
1a-rebuild MENU = OK
1b-boot BCD from PE >2 Menu = BCD Error 0xc0000225

Image
^^ when using syslinux 3.xx, I get this error...Windows cannot find...gsar.exe

Image
^^ after 35 minutes, SARDU is still trying to extract ISO files...

David, I will re-download Beta 5 file again, in case it was corrupted the last time. Could you please post the MD5 hash of that file?

Also, as stated in the other thread, I have tested Beta 5 but so far the same problems from Beta 4 still persists. Namely #1 PE >2 menu doesn't load [BCD error] & #2 SARDU MENU rebuilding. But I will test both problems again once I re-download Beta 5.

Thank you.

MD5 hash of both previous & currently downloaded Beta 5 matches! 1f85814a53736bb4145116f9fc444b3c

I will delete all settings & SARDU files. Extract all exe's & try to rebuild SARDU MENU again.

too many sentences without reading.
I don't understand, there are not reply my question, if your iso are standard, read my precedent post .
Error of missing gsar....you have this error? If Yes there is any software (antivirus) who block SARDU_1. There aren't other people with your problems :(

Antivirus has nothing to do with it! SARDU worked perfectly before, with this same antivirus.

extra=disabled

Antivirus + SARDU_2.0.3_beta5:
1-rc.iso + Windows_Vista_Recovery_Disc.iso = gsar.exe error; SARDU hangs after extracting ISO
2-rc.iso = gsar.exe error; USB disk created successfully, but INT18 boot failure; SARDU doesn't hang [NOTE1]
3-Windows_Vista_Recovery_Disc.iso = NO error, but SARDU hangs after extracting files from ISO

NO Antivirus / SARDU_2.0.3_beta5:
1-rc.iso + Windows_Vista_Recovery_Disc.iso = gsar.exe error; SARDU hangs after extracting ISO
2-rc.iso = gsar.exe error; USB disk created successfully, but INT18 boot failure; SARDU doesn't hang [NOTE1]
3-Windows_Vista_Recovery_Disc.iso = NO error, but SARDU hangs after extracting files from ISO

I noticed that SARDU.exe from SARDU_2.0.3_beta5.zip, says its Beta 1; menu ?->Info = 2.0.3 Beta 1

NOTE1: - SARDU doesn't make drive bootable, also syslinux & other system files are missing from drive!

Same result as my last post. The test was done 2 Intel computers, using 2 HDD & with antivirus turned off & on.

If I use rc.iso, I get gsar.exe error; disk created successfully, but the drive is unable to boot: INT18 boot failure.
This is because SARDU doesn't create any system files

If I use Windows_Vista_Recovery_Disc.iso, no error, but SARDU hangs after extracting all the files from ISO; SARDU disk never gets created.

If I use pmagic-6.1.iso, no error; disk created successfully, but the drive is unable to boot: INT18 boot failure.
This is because SARDU doesn't create any system files

As you can see from the directory structure of HDD's below, syslinux & other system files are missing from the root folder, so the drives are unable to boot; its also the cause of INT18 boot failure errors!

HDD1 = pmagic-6.1.iso:
