SARDU 2.0.2 beta 6 with Windows installer

Postby davidecosta » January 12th, 2011, 11:28 pm

New beta release with Windows Seven and XP Install options and MultiPE >2

2.0.2 beta 6

This release allow the installation of Windows XP and Seven both from ISO that USB.

In Beta 6 i added:

• Added language Bahasa Indonesia
• Change manage of PE > 2 and Install seven
• Updated USB section

I personally tested with MSDN isos in real PC and all works fine. In windows XP SARDU know if the version is SP3 or other. SARDU can use both windows XP Professional SPx that XP Home

User must have the ISO of windows , the USB must be FAT32 For format usb you can use RMPrepUSB formatting only the USB without boot options or HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool

  • Windows XP Professional SP3 SP2 = Install_XP_pro*.iso
  • Windows XP Home SP3 SP2 = Install_XP_home*.iso
  • Windows XP 64 = Install_XP_x64*.iso
  • Windows Seven = InstallWin7*.iso (deleting file ei.cfg and transform it in AIO)

With VirtualBox The install of Seven cannot work.

N.B. For install XP from USB I used partially the method and some files of winsetupfromusb

known bugs: If there are Two Windows XP of same type (Pro or Home etc.), SARDU detects only the space of one. The install of Seven replace all Windows PE 2.x

Feedback are really necessary

Can you add one little feature?

I created SARDU.iso - then I opened it in UltraISO - added ESET SysRescue CD (free tool, can be created in ESET 4.2). Then I saved the new SARDU.iso. Now I would like to open SARDU program and write the new iso-file to USB - you know, something like pressing "USB" - "Write ISO to USB" - a windows opens - "Browse" - browsing to the new ISO file - "Write".

Eset SysRescue CD is pe based? If Yes...isn't very easy: Pe 1.X hexedit setupldr.bin, PE>2 ....modify BCD files...

Eset SysRescue CD is pe based?

Yes, created by Windows AIK for Win7. I started it with grub.

I would like to open SARDU program and write the new iso-file to USB - you know, something like pressing "USB" - "Write ISO to USB" - a windows opens - "Browse" - browsing to the new ISO file - "Write".

Is there a chance of making it a reality? =)

P.S. The new Dr-Web LiveCD 6.0 works perfectly =)

I don't need to rename ESET =) . Added ISO to USB and wrote

menu label ^ESET Sysrescue 4.2.67.10
MENU INDENT 1
kernel /boot/grub.exe
APPEND --config-file="map /SysRescue.iso (0xff);map --hook;chainloader (0xff)
