today i was thinking to open this topic as i feel that this great utility must have some other tools incorporated in it and any body can provide suggestion and requested any software if possible to add.

first of all, i have a request to you David to please add a utility in sardu which makes the usb write protected as when we connect this usb to an infected pc, it attract all its viruses and can infect others pc.
could you please add write protect usb option in the menu so that if any body wants to write protect his usb on that particular infected computer before booting to hiren or any other os.
I don't know whether it is possible or not. but i was thinking this morning and decided to share it with you.

there is a utility in Hiren boot cd but we have to boot from win xp from that and before we actually write protect the usb from it.the disaster is already done by viruses. it had happened me yesterday and have to format all my usb to make it again and it takes an hour to create it again.

Try a USB Stick with a hardware write protected option. It is easy to use and you can switch it when you want.
Most of tricky viruses are copy by the user. and not on connect with usb on an infected pc. I know no virus who is copy alone by start the usb in the hardware.
You can also use a CD or a DVD when you have scare for infection.

I make at first on every PC before i work and help a user (data rescue) a "fast scan" to malware or viruses.

I am not Davide, but i think a lot of LiveSystems must have a write handle first by loading the System and after by running applikations. Not all Distro like WinPExp or WinPE7 liveSystems runs only from ram. I think also to the applikations who needs "temp files" to run.

Hiren MiniXP is not legal. Please build a good LiveSystem with your source like "LiveSystem pro" It is easy to build, runs fast and fine and you can insert the application's you want.
