Replace PartedMagic in Hiren, then change Sardu>isolinux.cfg

Postby kbarb » April 19th, 2012, 5:46 am

Hi,

I love this Sardu flash stick I made - it is really so helpful - Thanks !

So I'm rebuilding it . . . and just to be complete, in Hiren's Boot Cd, I updated Parted Magic to v-2012_3_24. (I know it's also in Sardu/Utility)

Hiren told me to change his HBCD\Boot\pmagic.lst . . . .

from :
initrd /HBCD/Boot/pmagic/initramfs

to :
initrd /HBCD/Boot/pmagic/initrd.img
(for the PMagic\pmagic\initrd.img I guess - only initramfs has changed to initrd.img, everything else looks the same)

So I think probably the Sardu /HBCD/isolinux.cfg line has to be changed, no ?

Now isolinux.cfg has :

Code: Select all
LABEL pm
MENU LABEL Linux based rescue environment (Parted Magic)
KERNEL /HBCD/Boot/pmagic/bzImage
APPEND initrd=/HBCD/Boot/pmagic/initramfs edd=off load_ramdisk=1 prompt_ramdisk=0 rw vga=normal loglevel=9 max_loop=256 vmalloc=256MiB directory=/HBCD/Boot

Do I need to change the last line ? Any ideas ?

Thanks again,

Kent

Ok, sorry - I thought maybe you had modified it.
I'll contact Hiren and post back if I find anything.

Thanks.
