Remove unnecessary tools+submenus. Custom windwos images?

Postby wigloba » July 13th, 2012, 2:07 am

Hey, I just found this awesome tool which supports most of my images. Nevertheless, I need some help. :)
How to remove all those submenus? I actually just want to see a simple list with all my images (about 10).
Another thing that annoys me are the tools which I did not select and were installed anyway. I don't really need them and would like to remove them but I don't understand the 'syntax' of the config files.
I saw that sardu even supports simple Windowsinstallation-images, so my question is if there is a simple way to use custom images (nLite)?
My last question is how to use Kon-Boot 2 with sardu. I found some threads about that but the first one seemed to be too old and the instructions of the other one didn't work for me. :(

Thanks in advance for your hopefully helpful answers. :)

best regards,

I will let you down,
I can't follow user requests for customizations, SARDU has millions of users, I receive hundreds of emails a week.
SARDU in the future will control more and more that is not changed the name and background. Next version that will support Vista And Seven and Eight will reboot if user change my signatures.

Next version will solve any errors with the installer of XP but i can't grant that will works fine with nlited versions. The reason is very simple. nLite edits the file that SARDU customizes for add all versions.
I can't know all customizations of users

KonBoot 2...never tried :(

Hey davidecosta,
Thus custimized windowsintallers are not supported and probably will not be supported ever. Well, I'm okay with that but what about removing these unnecessary tools and submenus? You said, "SARDU in the future will control more and more that is not changed the name and background." Do you want to tell me that future versions of sardu will totally prevent or immensely confine changing all this stuff? I mean okay of course you can have your credits watermarked in the background but I actually just want to remove some submenu and tools I don't need which should be possible by editing the the configuration files, right?

The file "tools.cfg" for example looks for me like one of those unnecessary submenus:

You can remove the file and delete the line of the menu...but..if you upgrade a copy of SARDU... SARDU will copy again this files.
