There are a rebuild versions of Hiren's Boot CD, like Hiren's BootCD 15.1 Rebuild By DLC v2.0 (around 600mb), Hiren's Boot DVD 15.1 Restored Edition V2.0 by Proteus...
Sardu is not recognizing them, in fact it recognizes them but when it comes to "burn" files to the USB , those files were skipped by Sardu, so Hirens Boot was not copied or "installed on the flash drive :(
Only way to put these rebuild iso's on the USB is using an add extra iso option, but...
It all works well, except Mini Windows XP or Mini Windows 7 ( added in rebuild editions) . They doesn't load any drivers, any programs implemented like 7zip, Avira, SumatraPDF, etc , menu doesn't shows as well.
Please help...
I didn't try the new version of SARDU which came up in august 2012.

It doesn't matter if it is legal or not, I made rebuild version of Hiren myself , putting new Partition Wizard (FREE), new 7zip (FREE) , new hardware detection tools HW32Info etc. which are ALL FREE ! And SARDU didn't work on that either.

Question is not pointless at all.

I would leave the "Hiren's BootCD" unaltered and create a "WIN7PE (SE)" instead that gets equipped with the tools you've mentioned.
I consider that a more elegant and hassle-free way as WinPE 3.0/3.1 builds the base.

I know, in my opinion it is better to build Windows PE 1 (LiveXP) . There are a lot of machines that still has 512mb of ram and less and WinPE3 and 3.1 are useless there.
But Hiren's Boot has already very good Mini Xp with all tools you need.

I understand your point(s).

But what about building and including a LiveXP (or a similar XP/2003 environment) in SARDU?
The creation tools for LiveXP for example are very easy to handle and one is able to generate a very individual Live OS.

like indigital suggestion or
Universal portable XP is a good alternative also, it works and functions almost like full install xp and portable. Anyway it is much better than minixp on usb.
