Construction of Menu Error Message

Postby discs » October 9th, 2011, 12:51 am

Hi,

I am trying to use SARDU_2.0.4beta10. I seem to get past all the steps of extraction of the ISOs (good) till I get a hangup (stop) at the stage of:

"Construction of the menu is running" - with the Error message "Mkisofs not found".

(I have tried Sardu 2.0.3 which stops at exactly the same point: "Construction of the menu is running", but there is no error message about Mkisofs. Also with Sardu 2.0.3, Sardu hangs up at extracting the Win 7 x64 Recovery Disk iso if I include it; 2.0.4beta10 extracts it successfully so I thought maybe its because 2.0.3 doesn't have sardu_x64.exe in it, and I am on a x64 system).

Could someone throw some light on this problem for me please; am I supposed to do something about the construction of the menu?

Thank you.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Files being sardu'd:
- pwhe.iso
- Rescue.iso
- UBCD5.iso
- Windows_7_64-bit_Repair_Disc.iso

Hi davide,

I did have Trusteer Rapport running; I thought it only works in the browser. Anyway, everything worked fine today :) - thank you.

Thank you, also, for a wonderful concept in Sardu (you must be divinely inspired!), and for your very simple and professional implementation.

A small point. A new Macrium Reflect free edition (version 5) was released early in October 2011. Sardu copes well with the old Marium Reflect iso (Sardu processes 7 files for it successfully), but Sardu does not seem to recognise and include the new Macrium Reflect iso of version 5 (showing 0 files processed). The relevant messages in the Sardu 'Report' are:

Macrium Reflect : Rescue.iso
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7-Zip 4.62 Copyright (c) 1999-2008 Igor Pavlov 2008-12-02
Processing archive: C:\Users\Standard\AppData\Local\Desktop\DESKD~1\SARDU_~1.4BE\ISO\Rescue.iso

No files to process

Files: 0
Size: 0
Compressed: 13473792

For the present I have simply burnt the new Macrium iso (ver 5) to a separate CD.
