Hey,

Just had a need for multiboot usb/iso and came along SARDU. The software seems to have a lot of features! That is great.

However had a few pointers regarding donation situation. If it takes me longer than 5 minutes to donate, I will NOT donate. The same thing goes for most of the people, imo. If you look at the website traffic I bet most of the traffic comes from english speaking countries. The forum is most active in english language as well. So you should cater to english speaking users. They are also people who donate the most.

First time I visited donate page from the website or from the software it goes to the paypal page in Italian as of 2013/11/12 (dont know if the plans changed since the last post in march). There is no way to switch to english. I and STOP there. Will NOT donate if it takes a long time to figure out whats what.

Also get rid of the Tag cloud on the main page and put a donate button. Tag cloud seems useless for this website and there is no donation button on the main page. At least I am unable to find it.

For others pages...you are right, was in italian, now is fixed

Hey Davide,

I realize this is old topic, but I only just now found Sardu (thanks for a great tool, I look forward to getting Pro version).

I have a little bit of help for you regarding the PP donate button found on your donate.html page.

Code: Select all
<input type="hidden" name="lc" value="IT">

the line shown above should be removed from your markup. Here is why ("lc" is an optional input, so don't worry, it is not necessary).
Having lc as an input with "IT" as the value is forcing the PP page to Italian.

Excerpted from
hxxps:__developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/paypal-payments-standard/integration-guide/Appx_websitestandard_htmlvariables/
HTML Variables for PP Payments Standard)
If unspecified, PP determines the locale by using a cookie in the subscriber's browser. If there is no PP cookie, the default locale is US.

So if you are to remove that line, then when someone wants to donate and clicks that button, it will load the PP page in their own language if they've logged on to PP previously with that browser and the valid cookie remains. Else it will load in the default English.

excuse my French and sorry for the hacked up post above -- I hope the meaning is still clear -- it was all right and proper before I began fighting with the filter whilst not knowing the rules we were playing by

and there was an edit button, but when I went to fix it up it told me I could no longer edit?

First, Thank you for the time you invest in this. It really is an incredible product.

I think we as "technicians" forget that this is in fact free, and someone (in this case Davide) is investing his own personal time and money to make this work and continue to develop it and appease our requests/demands. We should be thankful this even exists to begin with, let alone be bashing it

You should be ashamed of your comments whyohwhy. How selfish are you? Hopefully you will realize that the money from the toolbars is his only consolation for the personal time he has dedicated. You are the reason great projects like this are discontinued, lots of complaints with almost no support or thanks.
