Problem with Vesamenu.c32

Postby Raizo » February 15th, 2013, 7:27 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my SARDU installation. An error message appears at launching when i test with QEMU:
Could not find kernel image: vesamenu.c32
I begin with the software and i'm not too familiar with linux.

I tryed to change the file vesamenu.c32 on the USB root but i have the same message.
Anyone know how to fix it, please?

What's "pendrives"? USB flash drive?
I installed few ISO on my usb key yesturday, I started an OS installation today and it worked well.
I tryed to add an ISO but looking in QEMU, it's doesn't work. On my computer, it's the same problem.

I try, just now to update only the menu of SARDU but it does not work.

On my USB 8Go
Format: NTFS
ISO installed:
  • Ubuntu 12.10
  • Mint 14
  • Fedora 18
  • Windows XP Pro
  • Hiren
  • UBCD
  • Ping
  • CloneZilla
  • VBA32 rescue

No Iso_extra

I would like to add Win 7 Recovery Disk but for the moment, it's not possible. :?

I solved my problem. It was the syslinux.cfg which was duplicated in two folders: F:\SARDU and F:\SARDU\SARDU.
I don't know what happened but it's solved.

Thank for your help Davide and good luck for the development of this great software. ;)

Hi all,

I have the same problem, but I do not have a duplicated syslinux.cfg.

I have:

Code: Select all
F:\syslinux.cfg and
F:\SARDU\linux.cfg

(I don't even have a folder F:\SARDU\SARDU\...)

Is there something wrong with my SARDU-Installation?

Greetings, Dirk

Hi David,

and thanks for the quick reply. I did the whole thing over again - all from formatting the stick over creating a default configuration to including some linux iso files. Then I tested in QEMU and it worked alright. Then I took it to my netbook and voilà - it worked. Don't know what the original problem was.

Thanks a lot for this tool,
best wishes

Dirk
