Kali Linux bootable usb does not work

Postby worldramp » December 17th, 2017, 5:38 pm

I have tried several times to create a bootable Kali 2017.3 usb and cannot seem to make it work. I see a warning in the report window that says "there are data after the end of the archive". The iso can be created with rufus or win32diskimage and works fine. Blow is the report

Making USB bootable
The USB is Bootable

I have yet to get Sardu to make a bootable USB for a Linux ISO... very very frustrating.

Good afternoom,
You wrote one email and I've replied....

I've just stried last Kali version and all works fine.
I think that any antivirus recognizes kali as virus and lock the extraction or the iso is corrupted.
please check if in the USB there are the folder kali/live larger about 2.54 gb

Best regards

Davide,
Thanks for the response... a few things I see

1. I doubled checked the hash and found out the version I have downloaded from kali has a different hash then the version up there now. hmmmm
2. I have changed defender to exclude the iso folder for sardu.

will let you know what happens.
