Zorin os

Postby mlist » November 25th, 2013, 2:46 pm

I would like to add "Zorin os 7" in Sarducd because it is a great solution for basic users that would migrate to Linux but are worried about the interface.
I have a couple of friends of mine that do not have a very "open mind" but when they saw Zorin told to me:
the gui is pretty much the same we could try....
Now during last months they are very satisfied thus I thought that I could convince some other people to use this nice distro.
Because Zorin is not natively supported by sarducd, I would know how to add it using "extra"

Best

Ciao mlist

Zorin have many OS versions in OS 7.
Wich version you want in SARDU?

In the free version (live OS) tells the homepage:

It is strongly advisable to do a full install of Zorin OS to enjoy its full potential as some features of Zorin OS may be less stable in Live mode.

This Point is in SARDU not very useful.

Hi UFdFan

At the montent there are 2 branches:

Zorin OS 6 CORE that is an LTS
Zorin OS 7.1 CORE that is based on ubuntu 13.04

What I would like to add is the last version 7.1 that is available at the following link:
http://zorin-os.com/free7.html

About the live vs full install, I think that this is not so much important even for SARDUCD. As many other distro, you can boot from DVD or USB and, after, click on "install".
