Sardu won't boot Windows ISOs

Postby tshirtwisdom » August 23rd, 2012, 10:29 pm

Hey all,
I'm only having one issue with Sardu, but it's somewhat of a big one. I'm able to boot off the USB device, and use the utilities, anti virus and Linux ISOs, however, I cannot use any Windows PE or installation files. When I boot into a Windows ISO (Win Xp, Vista, 7, 8; I've got them all on there) or a WinPE, the loader fails and the system restarts. This does not happen if I try to load into a Linux distro or anti virus/rescue system. I've tried reformatting the flash drive and starting over (using fat32), and that didn't help. The ISO's are all uncracked versions of Windows.
Does anyone have any troubleshooting advice?

Thanks in advance!

I should also mention that I'm using Sardu 2.0.5.

I'm having a similar problem where when I go to run the windows 7 installer I put onto a usb stick I'm greeted with a black screen after all of the 'Grub' file unpacking text.

I would really appreciate a solution to the problem.

After a couple more tests it now comes up with a black screen with lines going across it rapidly and pressing any button cause a loud beeping sound, for the record the ISO I used works fine as I'm running an OS In Virutal box that was installed with it and am using the most recent version of Sardu.

Needless to disable barrosu function.

1. Run SARDU
2. Click USB and choose Disable barrosu function.

THANKYOU-THANKYOU-THANKYOU.

This worked a treat, although I feel that the problem actually stemmed from my laptop because I tested it again after applying these changes and had the same problem but when I tried it on a laptop lying around I found that it worked a fine.

Again, thank you. :3
