Requirements for Extra ISOs? Direct Auto-start possible?

Postby pstein » April 22nd, 2013, 9:53 am

The pre-defined ISOs in Sardu are fine.

However I would like to add some additional ISOs. As far as I can see users can do this through menu

Extra--->Add extra ISO(grub)

When I do this the ISO is added successully - at first.

BUT: When I boot the Sardu-CD and go to The "Extra" menu and select the corresponding menu entry then not the
new added (sub)ISO is booted but the grub console is shown:

grub>

Hmm, is there a way to directly boot the containing software?

Is direct starting of Extra ISOs possible at all?

Which requirements exist for Extra iso software?
Is Linux boot system sufficient or is special distribution necessary?

In particular I am talking about:
- Acronis True Image Home 2013
- Paragon Backup & Recovery_v2012 bootcd
- Paragon Partition Manager v11.0 SE Personal Recovery CD from Installation

The work all fine when burned individually on a CD each.

Furthermore I am surprised that some (other) ISOs are NOT recognized by Sardu.
For example I put Minitool Partition Wizard v7.8 from

http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html

into Extra folder. It is NOT recognized (=check is not set near "Partition Wizard" in "Utility" section).

Same with ISO from Avira AntiVir.

Why?

Would you like to add them to a USB.
I'm working to a new version with a new management of ISO.

I know that extra ISO with grub works fine, there are a thread with all software supported with this option
