Problem with my USB external HD of 500GB

Postby netstryker » December 17th, 2012, 2:54 pm

Hi friends,

I've created a 30GB primary FAT32 partition on my USB external HD to put SARDU. On this HD I have two partitions, this one of 30GB FAT32 and the second in NTFS with all remain capacity of my HD, both are primary partitions.

My SARDU don't recognize this 30GB FAT32 partition. I've tested with my 4GB pen drive in FAT32 and SARDU recognize without problems.

The most strange is, I've used "Search USB" option from SARDU and SARDU found my 4GB FAT32 pen drive and the 30MB FAT32 partition from my internal HD that I use to bood my system, but didn't found my 30GB FAT32 partition from my external USB HD.

Please, someone here can halp me. Since now, thanks!

My HD of 500GB:
- 1st partition = Primary 30GB FAT32 - Active
- 2nd partition = Primary 436GB NTFS

Your question "Why both primary?"

If we can have up to four primary partitions for each HD, why my second partition could not be primary!?

I do not know why, but so far, my Sardu still not recognizing my 30GB FAT32 partition.

Now I've tested my 32GB Kingston pen drive and SARDU recognized it normally.

Since now thanks!

I think that is my rule. I added rules for save bad use of SARDU (overwrite the C)

OK.

One question. My 30GB FAT32 primary partition must be bootable!?

Currently this is only active partition, but completely empty and the system is not bootable.

Since now thanks!
