Not Booting USB

Postby cartwright118 » December 3rd, 2012, 11:24 am

Hello guys,

I found SARDU the other day and I must say I'm very impressed with it! I have in the past found multi-boot utilities that support installations and also pre installation environments. I have never until now found one that supports both!

I use a 16GB Kingston USB G3 and a standard Windows 7 Retail ISO image, if I use the Microsoft tool to make a bootable iso...everything works. I can boot into the Windows 7 Installation no problem with my current setup. However, as soon as I use SARDU and the same USB/Windows 7 Retail ISO. It refuses to boot from it. Is there any options I could try within SARDU to try and make it bootable on my system? It doesn't even show the SARDU Grub Boot Menu.

I have tried the 'Use Old Grub' but no luck.

Thank you,
Christian.

You USE fat 32 or NTFS? You formatted the pendrive with rmprepusb?
Best solution with SARDU is FAT32 that use barrosu

After, if dont works, you can try with old grub or enabling the memdisk menu

Thank you for your reply.

I formatted the USB using the utility in SARDU itself. USB > FORMAT USB FAT32. Barrosu is enabled.

Only thing left to try is memdisk.

Thanks
Christian
