Not able to install XP

Postby marek256 » May 8th, 2013, 7:52 pm

Hello All,
firstly thank you very much for this powerful tool, but I still have a problem with booting xp pro.
After start I always get a message:
file \VEP3\I386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded.
the error code is 4
press any key to exit

I know that I need to use original untouched iso and I have tried 3 untouched professional (OEM, VLK, Retail) all sp3 and also tried home edition but with the same result. I burned it dosen times with the slowest speed possible but same result.

I use actual version of sardu.

Thank you in advance

It is English iso,
Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 OEM
589.43 MiB

Do not look at the VEP3 folder, this folder is shown only sometimes, but the rest is the same.

Thanks in advance

The name in my tests is Install_XP_pro_SP3.ISO. can you try to rename your iso using this name?

Hi Davide Costa.
I use the name you proposed, Install_XP_pro_SP3.ISO also Install_XP_pro.ISO but still the same result.
Could it be a bug of actual version?
Thank you in advance

Hello

how you have build your ISO?

EDIT: I think not it is a bug from new SARDU version. In my test works fine but i use a prof. SP3 XP.

No I have not.
I just wanted to say that there is nothing with this ISO. it is an original copy from original XP CD.
Strange thing is that Windows 7 boots and installs normally.

Hello

this is the problem. How do you know, that the downloaded ISO's are not modified?
Please use a original and a unmodified XP cd and create it to a isofile with ultra-iso or a other tool and use it in SARDU. You will see that this iso works fine.
