SOLUTION: HBCD itself normally runs with GRUB4DOS 4.5c, and SARDU makes it run with v4.4.

HBCD NEEDS to have grub4dos v4.5c for it to run correctly, so you'll need to include another version of grub just for hirens and set it as the kernel.

With using my Extra mods as above, DOS programs work ok on usb. What changed from the last 2.0 version to the new 3.0 version that broke hbcd menu.lst commands? It's ok for me to add my extra mod but would be more auto to build off of main gui and not have to make additions to the extra menu.

One thing I've noticed is that Hiren's Boot CD from Sardu loaded on a CD won't boot, will instead boot to grub's command line. So I had to enter these commands manually to get access.

Code: Select all
cdrom --init
map --hook
root (cd0)
configfile /hbcd/menu.lst

I'm having an issue with the Kaspersky ISO. It boots fine and works correct, but I'm unable to update database. It boots up and says the database corrupted, starts downloading the definitions and then stops and repeatedly says database corrupted. I don't have this problem running from CD. Any suggestions?

For some reason, with Beta 5, my "Extra" menu is empty now.

HELLO DAVIDE,
I am stuck with my rescue CDs, cause there is no EXTRA FOLDER available like in the SARDU 2.
So I cannot put my cumulative.zip or bases.zip files in the SARDUCD so to make a fast manual update of the Antivirus Rescue CDs.

Could you restore this extra folder function ???

Thanks a lot

Will SARDU 3 still support ISOs running fully from RAM?

Very good. I've download grub4dos 4.5c(2.oct.2012) from Google and I've put 'grldr', 'grub.exe' in /boot/grub/ and /boot/grub044/ on my USB-Stick. For ISO same operation in 'sardu/temp/' while sardu process images(extract iso's content: avira, bitdefender, karsperski, eset, clonezilla, gparted, ophcrack, hbcd15.2).
Thank you.
