How long is it supposed to take to create a multi-boot USB?

Postby jemenake » May 28th, 2013, 11:25 pm

So, I'm trying out Sardu, XBoot, and Yumi, to see which one suits my needs best.

I like some of the features of Sardu but, when I went to create the USB drive, it took quite a long time. I had included a couple of 100MB-sized ISO files, and it looks like Sardu spent a lot of its time unpacking them somewhere and then trying to copy them onto the USB file-by-file or something.

XBoot and Yumi did not take nearly this long to prepare the USB, so I'm wondering if I did something wrong in the options or something.

Hi,
SARDU is very very different from youmi and xBoot.

xBoot copy the ISO into your USB, if this unit is slow with small files xBoot can appear fastest.
Yumi manage only one ISO at time, if you select two ISO with SARDU you have to sum the two times.

With SARDU, if your PC is fast, you can set the direct extraction (menu USB) and there is no need copy from PC to USB.
