EFI Boot On MacBook Not Working

Postby glennholt » December 5th, 2015, 11:11 am

Hello,

I'm a SARDU Basic Pro licensee. I'm having trouble with booting the USB drive on a Mac (it works as expected on Windows boxes).

I choose EFI boot and get a screen with 5 icons: Linux, EFI 64, EFI 32, and a couple of MemTest entries. The 64-bit EFI is the default choice, and gets me to a GRUB menu with 4 entries: "Shell EFI 64", "System Shutdown", "System Restart", and "Boost from first hard disk". There are no menu items for the AV or Utility ISOs that are included on the USB drive.

I have selected "Use menu EFI" on the USB menu.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If you see the menu you are in efi sections.
Not all ISOs support EFI boot
You can chainload pressing the EFI boot but and after pressing the penguin Tux.
EFI 64 is becouse your Mac is 64bit.
You can't boot a 64 bit PC with EFI 32
EFI isn't best solutions...Mac can chainload, others PC don't chainload...and...EFI is the "dead"
