I am wanting to understand the difference between these areas. I read the bit in the help file about the Extra folder and it seems that it is a purely manual area that will always be added and not managed by SARDU at all. Loader details(extra.cfg) and menu item changes(menu.lst) all have to be created manually as SARDU does nothing to help in their creation. Do I have that correct?

The Extra_ISO folder seems to be where files go that we add in and were not part of SARDU, but SARDU will help to configure them. For example, if we select the Extra->Add Extra ISO menu option, this allows us to add our own iso files, but SARDU will create the loader details and menu item changes. Do I have that correct?

If I do have the above understanding correct, my next question would be when are each added?

• If the Extra->Enable Extra menu option is not checked, does that mean that just the Extra folder items will not be loaded...but the Extra_ISO items will still be loaded?
• If the Extra->Enable Extra menu option was checked when a USB stick was created and then I uncheck it, will the Extra folder items be REMOVED from the USB stick? Any impact to the Extra_ISO items?
• How do you remove items from each the Extra and Extra_ISO areas?
• Are any of the settings for either of these Extra areas saved only on the USB stick? For example, if I have USB1 in and setup both Extra and Extra_ISO items and create the stick and then close SARDU...and then restart SARDU and just plug in USB2 and create, will they have the exact same info on them?

I know this is a detailed set of questions, but I think understanding this better will help myself and others to use SARDU more fully and get the most out of it.
