hi there,

I am desperate to find a solution to remove the virus that locked nealy all files on my PC and added the ccc extension - ccc-file, pretty like they otlined it here: http://soft2secure.com/knowledgebase/ccc-file. However, it does not name itself, it just prompts me to pay some bicoins, I never bought that stuff. Maybe you ols suggest me a decent antivirus top kull the bug... God bless you...

I have some good news for you! Scammers stopped ccc file extension virus (teslacrypt) and published its master key, which is needed to unlock files. If you need a good guide for ccc virus removal, check these guides: Rimuovere il virus .ccc and How to remove ccc virus?.

What other options one should consider other than Kaspersy? I told a friend for it but he had some bad experience so does not want to.

no antivirus will help. Including Kaspersky! since this malware is not a virus - but a ransomware.
